Jeff Rutledge

Jeff Rutledge was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and grew up and finished high school in Columbus, Georgia. After earning a B.A. in History and Political Science from Mercer University, Jeff attended Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi, and graduated in 1997. Jeff was a Partner at James-Bates-Brannan-Groover (Macon, Georgia) where he also served as Managing Partner from 2015-2016.

Jeff advises clients in matters ranging from tax and estate planning, asset protection planning, and business succession planning. Jeff also serves as primary corporate counsel for several small to mid-sized businesses by providing guidance on issues ranging from the formation and organization of the business, contractual and employment matters, and mergers and acquisitions. Jeff most enjoys working with the other attorneys at Adams │ Hemingway and other advisors of the client to exceed his client’s expectations.

Jeff and his wife, Tracy, have been married for 25 years and have two girls, Emily and Caroline, and twin boys, Thomas and Will. Jeff and Tracy are active members of Northway Baptist Church.
